The Gap I Close
No fluff. No ego. Just connecting strategy to results.
When strategy, governance and delivery work as one, organisations make better decisions, move with confidence and achieve the outcomes that matter most.
Meet Gail
Strategy to value. Nothing skipped in between.
I didn’t build my career in theory.
I built it in real organisations, under real pressure, with real risk and real consequences.
Financial services. Complex programs that mattered and could not quietly fail.
Everywhere I went, the same pattern turned up.
Strategy looked impressive. Delivery struggled. And no one could explain what happened in between.
Not because people weren’t capable. Because nobody had ever designed the system that connects a decision to an outcome.
That gap is where I work.
I don’t sell frameworks. I don’t run workshops that end in a wall of sticky notes and no decision. I’ve seen enough maturity assessments to know most of them change nothing by Monday morning.
What I do is simpler, and harder. Find out what is actually happening. Work out why it keeps happening. Name the decision that’s missing. Then build something the organisation can run without me in the room.
Strategy connected to investment. Investment connected to delivery. Delivery connected to benefits. Benefits connected to measurable value.
Governance that speeds work up instead of slowing it down. Portfolios where the priorities are real. PMOs people actually use.
I’m as comfortable in a boardroom as I am in a delivery team’s stand-up, and I’ll tell both the same thing.
Progress over perfection. Evidence over opinion. Clarity over documentation.
Away from work, my family comes first. I serve on professional and community boards, advocate hard through the NDIS system for supports that change a young person’s life, write Queensland history for thousands of readers, and get in the water to swim and dive whenever I can.
Different worlds. Same habits. Preparation, curiosity, evidence, and turning up for people.
Client Story
"
Gail and I worked together on a challenging oil and gas IT transition project. I found the skills and experience Gail brought to the project to be greatly beneficial. I know that what ever projects she is managing, they will be well run, with just the right amount of management.

What I believe
Beyond the frameworks.
The organisations I work with don’t usually need more advice. They need someone who can help make sense of what’s happening, connect the dots and identify the best way forward. That’s where every conversation begins.
Values
If it’s too complicated, it won’t stick. I help people see what matters and why.
Decisions over discussion:
Progress comes from making clear choices, not circling the same conversation.
Practical over perfect:
The best solution is the one people can actually use.
Capability over dependency:
I don’t create reliance. I build capability, confidence and momentum.
What Makes Me Different
- I see the connections others miss.
- I get to the heart of the problem quickly, cut through the noise and help people lift their heads out of the weeds.
- I don’t hide behind frameworks, add complexity or tell people what they want to hear.
- I bring calm, clarity and practical momentum, so leaders can make better decisions and move forward with confidence.
Accreditation & Education
The experience Gail Brings.
I’ve spent more than 25 years helping organisations make sense of complexity, connect strategy to delivery and turn decisions into measurable outcomes. My experience is supported by qualifications across governance, leadership, portfolio delivery, risk, benefits management and information systems. But the foundation came much earlier. My first degree was in Geography, complemented by a Diploma in Area Studies completed in Portugal. It taught me to think in systems, understand relationships, recognise patterns and see the bigger picture, a way of thinking that still shapes every engagement today.
